Emirates Wildlife Society (EWS) is a UAE environmental non-governmental organization, established under the patronage of HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s representative in the Western Region and Chairman of Environmental Agency – Abu Dhabi (EAD).
EWS works in association with WWF, one of the world’s largest and most respected independent conservation Organizations. EWS-WWF has been active in the UAE since 2001 and has successfully initiated and implemented several conservation and education projects and initiatives in the region.
EWS-WWF works federally and in the region with offices in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Fujairah and is governed by a local board of directors.
Job summary
The Digital and Communications Coordinator reports to the Digital Platform Manager and is responsible for implementing digital communications activities for the Education Programme.  This specifically includes day to day management of Platform including community management, content production and distribution and capturing and collating analytics.
The Digital and Communications Coordinator also plays a central and integral role in planning and creating both online and offline communications to support the success of the Platform and Programme.
An integral member of the Education and Communications team; the role holder keeps abreast of digital trends and implements effective (digital) communications initiatives to key audiences such as youth and young families.
The role holder will be able to manage multiple activities, prioritize and plan their time effectively and will be driven by delivering a high quality product on time. 
Ideally the role holder will be fluent in both English and Arabic.   
Key Responsibilities
Platform and digital eco-system strategy implementation
Implement the over-arching Education Programme and Platform Digital strategy for 2018 to 2020
Manage digital platforms and channels through a deep understanding of all digital tools and channels
Drive improvement in all digital strategies by collating consistent reporting and insights based on customer engagement and behavior data obtained from all digital channels, in addition to monitoring trends and emerging technology and implementing where relevant
Continually evolve and add to stakeholder and target audience insight and institutionalize its use
Continually look for ways to optimize member experience on the platform to drive long term engagement
Implement the content strategy and calendar for the platform
Work with other education team members to create and deliver the assets detailed in the content calendar and re-purpose offline content for the platform
Commission, source and create high quality rich content from a variety of sources to support, inform and educate
Work with the team to develop, deliver, promote and evaluate digital marketing campaigns that engage with our key audiences
Manage the platform community and ensure timely and engaging responses
Communications planning and implementation
Work with Digital Platform Manager, Communications Director and Agency to define communications strategy and plan
Implement the communications plan
Implement and update the communications calendar
In coordination with external suppliers, supplying information, facilitating contract finalization, and coordinating invoices and payments (Invoices to be in alignment with EWS-WWF payment cycle)
Responsible for keeping track of available media buys (pro-bono or paid), documenting brand presence and updating media lists
Maintaining a well-organized content database
Responsible for updating salesforce regularly                                                                             
Effectively manage budgets and resources
Manage relevant agencies and 3rd parties
Liaise with EWS-WWF communications and brand teams
Other stakeholder management (e.g. partners)
Support marketing and fundraising communications if/ where relevant

Required qualifications
 3+ years of professional experience working in a team or agency environment managing digital platforms and campaigns in a digital ecosystem.
Sound understanding of digital marketing and managing digital content across web, mobile, app and social
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, digital etc
Skills required
  • Excelllent Communication skills (Verbal and Written)
  • Bilingual (Arabic and English). Arabic written and verbal fluency is preferable
  • Proven experience with managing a project from ideation to execution.
  • Excellent written English and understanding of writing for digital, adaptable to different styles and tones of voice
  • Creative mindset with strong knowledge of digital marketing
  • Analytical thinker – ability to review data and interpret into high-level insights pertinent to overall digital strategy
