Emirates Wildlife Society (EWS) is a UAE environmental non-governmental organization, established under the patronage of HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s representative in the Western Region and Chairman of Environmental Agency – Abu Dhabi (EAD).
EWS works in association with WWF, one of the world’s largest and most respected independent conservation Organizations. EWS-WWF has been active in the UAE since 2001 and has successfully initiated and implemented several conservation and education projects and initiatives in the region.
EWS-WWF works federally and in the region with offices in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Fujairah and is governed by a local board of directors.
Job summary
This is a pivotal role in the Education programme with great scope for progression and development. 
This position focuses on the planning, development, management and implementation of the strategic vision for the “Connect with Nature” digital platform.  
The “Connect with Nature” digital platform is the heart of the Education programme – EWS-WWF’s flagship programme aimed at engaging youth and young families and connecting them with nature.
The right candidate should be data driven and detail oriented, agile, and have the ability to successfully work in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines. This position holder needs to have an in-depth understanding of digital marketing, customer acquisition, user experience design, community management, audience engagement and content creation and management.
The role holder will also be responsible for other digital channels in the Education programme and offline communications to drive awareness of and engagement in the platform.
Ideally the role holder will be fluent in both English and Arabic.   
Key Responsibilities
Platform and digital eco-system strategy development
Create and successfully deliver the over-arching Education Programme and Platform Digital strategy for 2018 to 2020
Create and successfully deliver a platform membership acquisition strategy for 2018 - 2020
Successfully integrate the above into the Education Programme strategy and plan 2018-2020 and work with the Programme Lead to finalise a holistic seamless implementation plan for the Programme.  
Drive improvement in all digital strategies by collating consistent reporting and insights based on customer engagement and behavior data obtained from all digital channels, in addition to monitoring trends and emerging technology and implementing where relevant
Work with Education and Fundraising to develop a strategy for the transition of members to an EWS-WWF membership programme
Platform and channel development
In 2018, lead the development of the Education platform with the product developer / licensor
Regularly evolve and update the platform as necessary between 2018 and 2020
MVP platform ready for launch by March 2018 (tbc)
Create all other required digital channels (E and A) as per the digital and membership acquisition strategy
Platform management
Manage digital platforms and channels through a deep understanding of all digital tools and channels. 

Leverage digital best practices in conjunction with audience insights to deliver best-in-class solutions across owned digital channels and assets
Create a content strategy and calendar for the platform and successfully implement this
Work with other education team members to deliver the assets detailed in the content calendar and re-purpose offline content for the platform
Continually look for ways to optimize member experience on the platform to drive long term engagement.
Membership acquisition, management and retention
Drive membership through effective and cost efficient marketing programs, as per the customer acquisition strategy.
Effectively manage platform membership through the creation and successful delivery of a membership retention strategy
Oversee offline (and online) communications to drive awareness of and engagement in the platform
Contribute to planning and workplan development for the Education Programme.
Lead on the development of creative content for the Education Programme
Effectively manage budgets and resources
Manage all relevant agencies and 3rd parties
Liaise with EWS-WWF communications and brand teams
Other stakeholder management (e.g. partners)
Support marketing and fundraising communications if/ where relevant

Required qualifications
7+ years professional experience working in a team or agency environment managing digital platforms and campaigns in a digital ecosystem.
Expert in digital marketing and managing digital content across web, mobile, app and social
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, digital etc
Skills required
  • Excellent communication skills (Verbal and Written)
  • Bilingual (Arabic and English). Arabic written and verbal fluency is preferable
  • Proven experience with managing a project from ideation to execution.
