This programme is a great opportunity for individuals passionate about marine conservation. Tailored to support our “Choose Wisely” campaign, Fish Finders contribute to the following:
Of course to do this, EWS-WWF will provide you with:
- Presenting the problem of overfishing and its impacts to various audiences
- Promoting sustainable choices of fish to the public
- Giving tips on how to identify the Green-listed local species
- Participating in ongoing fish souq surveys across the Emirates to look at the availability and prices of common commercial fish ( and note presence of any illegal catch at the fish souqs)
Of course to do this, EWS-WWF will provide you with:
- A training session on overfishing, fisheries laws in the UAE, and tips to identify the green fish
- A quiz session at Deira fish souq
- 100 consumer guides and choose wisely fish bags to hand out
- A template presentation on Choose Wisely to use and adapt to your different audiences
- A cool Choose Wisely Tshirt !
